Sappa Replaces OTT Platform with UniqCast Middleware and Multiscreen Applications

Zagreb, Croatia – September 7th – Sappa, a Swedish telecom operator providing TV, broadband, mobile and streaming services has replaced its existing OTT platform with UniqCast middleware and multiscreen applications. The new platform combines UniqCast client applications with Sappa-developed Smart TV and Android set-top box (STB) clients, all connected through the UniqCast client API and operated in a geo-redundant configuration.
Multiscreen Reach with Room for Sappa’s Applications
This model gives Sappa a common middleware platform across its device estate while preserving its ability to develop and control selected client experiences. UniqCast supplies the middleware and client applications within its scope, while content delivery is handled by a partner-provided CDN.
